1. About these terms

Re-Lease is a residential lease-renewal control platform for South African estate agencies and letting teams. By accessing or using the platform you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Soft-launch status

Re-Lease is currently in a controlled soft-launch with selected agencies. Some functions may be staged, supervised or subject to change, and the platform is not positioned as an unrestricted public production service until final operational, legal and payment readiness checks are complete. See our Pilot / Soft-Launch Terms for more detail.

3. Accounts and agency workspaces

Access requires an account that is linked to an agency workspace. Each agency operates inside its own scoped workspace. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that takes place under your account.

4. Agency responsibility for data

Agencies are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and currency of the lease, landlord, tenant and property information they capture, and for the communications they send through the platform.

5. Landlord and tenant workflows

The platform facilitates renewal reminders, landlord decisions and tenant responses through structured digital flows. Re-Lease provides the workflow tooling; the agency remains responsible for the underlying mandate and for the decisions taken.

6. Documents and audit logs

The platform generates renewal documents from template content and stores documents, signatures, notifications and workflow events against the lease record. Agencies should review generated documents before relying on them.

7. Templates and legal wording

Base templates are provided as a starting point and may be customised by the agency, subject to the agency's own legal and compliance sign-off. Re-Lease does not warrant that any template meets the requirements of a specific matter or jurisdiction.

8. No legal advice

Re-Lease provides software, not legal advice. Nothing on the platform or in any generated document constitutes legal advice. Agencies should obtain their own professional advice where needed.

9. Acceptable use

Your use of the platform must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and with applicable law.

10. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend or change features, and may carry out maintenance. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.

11. Limitation of liability

[Placeholder] Liability terms will be finalised by the operating entity before public launch. To the extent permitted by law, the platform is provided on an “as is” basis during the soft-launch.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed via the Contact / Information Officer page. Operating entity details to be finalised before public launch.
